About us
Empowering the youth of today to excel in the world of tomorrow
At Go Ahead Homes, we believe every young person deserves a safe and stable place to live, to feel heard and respected, and to have the right support around them as they prepare for adulthood.
We provide high-quality supported accommodation for young people, creating safe, welcoming environments where they can develop the confidence, practical skills and independence they need for the next stage of their lives.
Support Built Around the Young Person
No two young people are the same, and neither is the support they need.
From the point of referral, we take time to understand each young person’s individual needs, strengths, risks, experiences and aspirations. Careful placement matching helps us consider not only whether we can meet a young person’s needs, but whether the home, location and existing household are right for them.
Once placed, each young person receives an individualised support plan with clear, achievable goals that develop as they progress.

Safeguarding
Safeguarding is central to everything we do.
Our teams work to create environments where young people feel safe while learning to make increasingly independent choices. We recognise that young people may arrive with different life experiences, vulnerabilities and challenges, and our approach is respectful, consistent and informed by their individual circumstances.
We work closely with social workers, local authorities and the wider professional network to identify and respond to concerns, review progress and ensure that support remains appropriate as a young person’s needs change.
"More Than a Place to Live"
Support we
provide
Developing independent living skills such as cooking, budgeting, shopping and maintaining a home
Education, training and employment support
Managing appointments and accessing local services
Building healthy routines and positive relationships
Developing confidence, resilience and decision-making skills
Understanding personal safety and managing identified risks
Maintaining appropriate family and community connections
Preparing for future accommodation and greater independence
For us, supported accommodation is about much more than providing a room.
It is about helping young people develop the skills and confidence to build a life beyond supported accommodation.
That may mean enrolling in college, securing their first job, learning to manage money, cooking their own meals, attending appointments independently or simply beginning to believe in what they can achieve.
Some milestones are big and some are small. We believe they all matter.
Working in Partnership
Positive outcomes are rarely achieved by one organisation working alone.
We value strong partnerships with young people, families, local authorities, social workers, education providers, health professionals and other agencies involved in a young person’s life.
Through open communication, regular reviews and collaborative working, we aim to provide consistent support and ensure that everyone is working towards the same goal: helping each young person progress safely towards independence.
Looking Ahead
Our ambition is simple: for every young person who lives with Go Ahead Homes to leave us better prepared for their future than when they arrived.
We want our young people to move forward with greater confidence, stronger life skills, positive aspirations and the belief that they are capable of creating a future of their own.
Go Ahead Homes — supporting young people today, preparing them for tomorrow.
